We've been back in the UK for just over 24 hours now and I would just like to say; all that moaning and complaining I've been hearing from afar about how the weather here is rubbish?
I think you might have a point.
Having said that, even in the mercifully brief frequent monsoon-like downpours we experienced today, London is just. Bloody. Gorgeous.
And still Home.

Ah dahling, glad you are happy.
ReplyDeleteJust do another 11 months and 30 days in that monsoon-like weather and your smile might be fading just a teensy bit :-)
Just catching up with blogland a little bit. Loved your last few posts. And would still love to see you if you have a chance w/c 23rd July. Let me know.
ReplyDeleteI have been quite moany about the weather this year (tho I was determined to NEVER moan because it is so stereotypical...) but when I read about the terrible heat in Chicago - I really can't bear those types of temperatures and I know I would have been truly swollen and sluggish and grumpy and miserable - I had to stop my UK grump and just delight in wearing from new Ugg rain shoes on the school run Yet Again (the shoes are so damned ugly they are verging on cute, I swear it)
x
Ahhh, have a wonderful time back home. We have sun this morning! Just for you...
ReplyDeleteGlad you're pleased to be home - how long are you here??
ReplyDeleteYou see we weren't exaggerating when we said trench foot was a risk - it really has been very wet here
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely trip back 'home'
Hope you have fun - even if it is rather soggy! Enjoy Waitrose and all the cheese x
