Friday Fudge

How do you sneeze? Wait - don't answer that. I think I know the answer. And the men in your life, how about them? No, don't answer that either, I think I know the answer to that one too; I've written about it on Powder Room Graffiti today in a piece called 'The Man Sneeze'. (No prizes for guessing in advance what the tone of this article may be like...)

And that's it for today, because whilst I had planned to blog about the advent of game technology in the Potski household, or alternatively to ask rhetorically why the Russian people put up with so much shoddiness, I'm going to have to save those posts for next week because I've hurt my back and sitting down to type is a problem. My supportive husband blames my run last weekend, citing lack of fitness and preparation as the reason. I couldn't possibly comment...

  1. Poor you. Hope it's all better soon. Sometimes exercise isn't as good for you as it's cracked up to be!

  3. Hope your back recovers properly (or you find a way to type comfortably whilst standing up!)

  4. Could you try to type in a reclyining position? Do you have one of those real comfortable chairs with a foot rest and an adjustable back? You could give it a try. Do you have a laptop? A nice heating pad too and a massage from the husband, of course.

  5. Sympathies. I suffer from a sore back too - it comes and goes. I blame it on lifting the boys. Because it couldn't possibly have to do with the fact that I am too unfit for my rather hard core exercise class......could it?

  6. See Potty Mummy it is the law of karma - running is actually a bad, if not frankly risky business. Just say no. We have a wii at Belgravia Towers ( touch chavvy ? - thinking it through ) and I have been swinging my hips to hula hoop and doing some old fashioned step aerobics _ I am for once quite serious - it's doing the trick - albeit slowly. Do they have wiis in Moscow ? Rest up and get well xx

  7. Ooh, no. Back problems. Since the winter boots were finally laid to rest this spring, I haven't been wearing my orthotics (bit hard to keep on with sandals) and my back is killing me.

  9. Sharon, you're not kidding!

Mwa, am trying to. Is self-medicating with white wine the best way, do you think? (Too late if not).

MAM, actually, I think I may have managed the latter.

Irene, I do have a laptop - although I think that may be adding the problem, sadly...

NVG, absolutely not, of course it couldn't. (But - kickboxing?)

BW, they DO have wii's in Moscow which I suspect makes them chavvy by association (have you seen the sequins here?). Nevertheless, I want one. Or maybe, because of that fact - who can tell? I mean, my previous post was about sparkly eyeliner, so...

EPM, ah - back to winter boots (in 70deg?)

Tattie, thanks and will do my best. Unfortunately I still get to unstack the dishwasher & hang out the laundry though, so 'rest' is a relative term...
